What we do
Frames for halls, industrial buildings and rooftop extensions. We work to the client's structural design or bring our own.
Indoors and out, with glass, perforated sheet or bar infill. Fall protection to ÖNORM B 5305 and B 3716.
Sliding and swing gates with drives, access control and emergency release. Maintenance contract on request.
Mesh panels, screening and bespoke grids for commercial and private sites, foundations included.
Stringer, folded-plate and spiral stairs, cantilevered or saddled. Laser scanned on the finished shell.
Single pieces from a drawing, a sample or an on-site survey. From machine frames to entrance canopies.

New structural steelwork for the conversion of an existing 1,200 m² hall. Production continued throughout; erection took place over four weekends.

Balcony and loggia railings for 48 apartments. All posts sit on anchored base plates; glass panels can be replaced without removing the handrail.

Four sliding gates for factory entrances, each with access control and emergency release. Running rails sit in a frost-free channel so nothing lifts in winter.

Spiral staircase over three floors to the architect's drawing. Laser scanned once the shell was complete; deviation on installation: 4 mm.
The company
STAHLKANTE started in 1987 as a two-person metalwork shop on Ennser Straße. What has grown since is the building, not the number of layers in between: whoever you speak to on the phone is the person who will detail your part.
Shop detailing, cutting, welding and erection are all ours. We only subcontract galvanising and, where the client has none, the structural design. Both partners are named in the quotation.
Dates we commit to are planned with a buffer for the galvanisers. That is why we sometimes decline rather than name a date we cannot hold.

Hall 7 is standing. 84 tonnes in eleven weeks, erected over four weekends, without a single day of lost production for the client. Thanks to the crew who gave up four Saturdays for it.

Recertified to EN ISO 3834-2 with no non-conformities. For specifiers that means our welding procedures stay valid and the updated declaration of performance is in the download section.

We are looking for a detailer for shop drawings, Tekla Structures, full time in Steyr. We are not against remote work, but the shop is two doors away, and that is rather the point.
